These terms apply to appliance repair, installation and maintenance services provided by Allsafe Appliance (“we”, “us”) to you, the customer. Booking a visit means you accept them.
1. Booking and access
We agree an arrival window rather than an exact time, and we call when the technician is on the way. You agree to provide safe access to the appliance and to its power, gas or water shut-off, and to have an adult over 18 present for the visit. If the appliance is built in, clearing the surrounding cabinet before we arrive saves billable time.
2. Diagnostic fee
A diagnostic fee covers the technician’s visit and the testing needed to identify the fault. It is waived when you approve the repair and it is carried out. If you decline the repair, the diagnostic fee remains payable and you keep the written diagnosis.
3. Quotes and approval
After diagnosis you receive a flat-rate quote covering parts and labor. No work beyond diagnosis begins without your approval. If a second fault is found once the appliance is opened, we stop and requote rather than continue and invoice you for it.
4. Parts
We fit new parts sourced through manufacturer or authorized-distributor channels. Where a suitable equivalent makes better economic sense on an older appliance, we will say so and you choose. Special-order parts may require a deposit and are non-refundable once ordered. We do not install customer-supplied parts, because we cannot warranty them.
5. Payment
Payment is due on completion, by card or cash, against an itemized invoice showing parts and labor separately. Where a deposit was taken for a special-order part, it is credited to the final invoice.
6. Warranty
Completed repairs carry a warranty on both parts and labor, backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee. If the same fault returns within the warranty period we return at no charge. The warranty covers the specific repair performed; it does not cover new and unrelated faults, damage caused by misuse, power surges, water quality, pest damage, or work carried out on the appliance by anyone else afterwards. The warranty is void if the invoice has not been paid in full.
7. Cancellation and rescheduling
Cancel or reschedule any time before the technician is dispatched at no cost. If a technician arrives and cannot access the appliance, or nobody over 18 is present, a call-out charge may apply.
8. Work we may decline
We may decline a job where the appliance is unsafe to operate, has been previously repaired in a way that creates a hazard, is subject to a manufacturer recall, or where a required part is no longer manufactured. We may also decline work that should be carried out by a licensed plumber, electrician or gas fitter, and will say so rather than take it on.
9. Limitation of liability
We carry liability insurance and take responsibility for damage caused by our negligence. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — spoiled food, lost income, alternative accommodation, or damage arising from a pre-existing fault in your plumbing, wiring or gas supply. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service concerned.
10. Pre-existing condition
Appliances brought in for repair are often already worn. Removing a built-in unit, disconnecting corroded fittings or servicing an aged machine can reveal or trigger further faults. We work carefully and flag risks before starting, but we cannot guarantee that an appliance already at the end of its life will survive a repair.
11. Communications and SMS terms
By giving us your phone number and consenting, you agree to receive service-related text messages about your job: appointment confirmations, arrival notifications, parts updates and scheduling changes. We do not send marketing texts.
- Opting in. Consent is given when you check the box on our form, or confirm it verbally with a dispatcher. It is never a condition of purchase.
- Opting out. Reply STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help, or call (855) 555-0143. Opting out does not cancel your appointment — we will call you instead.
- Frequency. Message frequency varies by job, typically a handful of messages per appointment.
- Cost. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier plan.
- Delivery. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Your number. Mobile numbers and SMS consent are never sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing. See our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute falls to the courts of Los Angeles County. Nothing here limits rights you have under California consumer protection law.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here on the date you book.
